Here are minutes from the DeKalb County Elections Board Meeting held Feb. 11, 2016.  Save Tucker! comments are numbered below the minutes, corresponding to the highlighted areas by color.  Challenge of Tucker City Council Candidate Katherine Atteberry – The Board was provided with a copy of an e-mail from Ms. Cheryl Miller stating that she wished to challenge the candidacy of Tucker District 2 City Council candidate Katherine Atteberry, and alleged that Ms. Atteberry did not live at her registered address.  Upon checking Code Section 21-2-6, it was determined that another elector can only challenge a candidate within the two weeks immediately following the qualifying period and that time has expired.  However, the Board has the authority to challenge a candidate up and until an election.   Ms. Daniels and Mary Frances went to the candidate’s address and saw no indication that the home was abandoned or vacant, as alleged .  Further, Ms. Daniels check...

Left, Michelle Penkava (Dist. 3), Anne Lerner (Dist. 3), Frank Auman (mayor), Bill Rosenfeld (Dist. 1), Honey VandeKreke (Dist. 1).  Absent:  anyone from Dist. 2 because the election was still taking place.  There was  no legal authority for these individuals to begin conducting business on behalf of Tucker as the city election was still in process.  And, to make matters worse, they claimed that the charter required them to take office.  That was a bold faced lie to their constituents and they even made THAT through a third party via social media and other unofficial means, rather than answer for themselves. MAYOR:  Frank Auman District 1, Post 1:  Honey VanDeKreke District 1,  Post 2:  William Rosenfeld District 2, Post 1:  RUNOFF TUESDAY MARCH 29:  Kathrine Atteberry vs. Matt Robbins District 2, Post 2:  RUNOFF TUESDAY MARCH 29:  Susan Wood vs. Noelle Monferdini District 3, Post 1:  Michelle Penkava District 3, Post 2:  Anne Lerner District 2 elections were extremely tight and the final results could be subject to change.   However, the fact that both city council seats will be decided in a runoff is pretty clear.  Thanks for voting and congratulations to those elected to hold these first city offices.

According to ABC News, an audit will be conducted to review the voter files and data in the Georgia Secretary of State's office. Save Tucker! notes that the website in questions is also connected with the consulting firm said to have worked with the Tucker 2015 group in securing their recent victory in the cityhood referendum.  Read the admission at the end of the article, "Lavista Hills: Doomed from the Start" by Mike Hassinger:  here .  The company Apache Consulting worked on the Tucker campaign, but the owner says he lives and works in the Lavista Hills proposed city limits. We are relieved to see that the latest version of the Tucker bill has updates to the city council voting process.  Here is the new language: (3) Two councilmembers shall be elected from each of the three council districts and shall hold Council District 1, Post 1; Council District 1, Post 2; Council District 2, Post 1; Council District 2, Post 2; Council District 3, Post 1; and Council District 3, Post 2, respectively. There is STILL hope that District 1 has a voice! Don't fall for the same lines from the same folks voicing the same mantra:  extreme political views are never good for the community as a whole.  That's why they are "extreme." According to today's AJC, the person who most DeKalb County District 1 residents want to represent them is the ONLY one not running as a Republican OR Democrat.  HOLMES E.
